Job Overview
We are seeking a Mainframe Developer with 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience specializing in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS technologies. The selected candidate will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and support of mainframe applications while collaborating closely with business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust mainframe applications.
- Create and update COBOL programs and JCL scripts as required.
- Interact with DB2 databases and manage CICS transaction processing.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot application-related issues promptly.
- Conduct thorough testing and assist with deployment support.
- Engage in production support activities to ensure application stability.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient in COBOL programming, JCL scripting, and DB2 database management.
- Experience working with CICS transaction servers and VSAM file systems.
- Familiarity with TSO/ISPF environments.
- Possess analytical aptitude and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in team settings.
Educational Requirements and Eligibility
Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related discipline. Graduates with qualifications such as B.Tech, B.E., B.Sc, or B.C.A in any specialization are eligible to apply.
