M&A Associate (m/w/d)

Parklane Capital is offering an M&A role in Hamburg with views of the Alster, where you will take on responsibility for transactions from the initial pitch through to closing. From day one, you will work closely with the partners on varied and demanding assignments in a highly entrepreneurial consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage M&A projects across national and international markets
• Work directly with founders, shareholders, and client management teams
• Prepare detailed client presentations and information memoranda
• Conduct independent research for market, sector, and competitor analysis in Germany and abroad
• Support and execute sell-side and buy-side due diligence processes
• Develop and review company valuations
• Analyze, model, and validate company forecasts and business plans
• Coach and mentor analysts in their first and second year

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience in M&A, transaction services, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, or business/corporate development; international experience is welcome
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, ideally with a finance focus, and strong academic performance
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Experience with buy-side and/or sell-side due diligence processes
• A high level of initiative, independence, and drive
• Interest in the digital economy and an understanding of relevant business models
• Negotiation-level fluency in German and English
• Very confident use of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong teamwork, communication, and relationship-building skills
