About ALPAMI
ALPAMI is creating a boutique hospitality brand designed for the next phase of the industry. The company already operates more than 200 keys across the Black Forest, Switzerland, Tirol, and Munich, with a mix of city boutique houses, tiny houses in nature, and properties-as-a-service. The focus is not on traditional star ratings, but on delivering memorable 5-star guest experiences in a distinctive boutique style.
The business is founder-led, bootstrapped, and expanding quickly, with an ambition to reach 500 units next year. To support that growth, the operational side of the guest experience needs to scale just as fast.
The Role
ALPAMI is seeking an Operations Lead based in Munich who will report directly to the Managing Director and take full ownership of operational excellence across the portfolio. This person will act as the central hub for day-to-day operations, spotting issues early, resolving them quickly, and ensuring guests never feel the friction.
The position is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-moving, founder-led environment. The pace is unpredictable, decisions need to be made quickly, and the role demands real accountability rather than a fixed 9-to-5 routine.
Key Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of operations by reviewing, improving, and standardizing processes and management practices across the property portfolio.
- Serve as the main operational contact for internal teams and outside partners.
- Manage service providers directly and ensure their quality, dependability, and commercial terms remain aligned with company goals.
- Track key operational metrics such as occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, guest satisfaction, response SLAs, and related performance indicators.
- Travel regularly to locations when hands-on support, quality checks, training, or troubleshooting is needed.
- Make fast, practical decisions on what deserves immediate attention and what can be handled later.
- Resolve operational problems quickly and directly, with a bias toward action rather than lengthy coordination.
- Support the growth of the operational team by coaching and developing team members.
- Keep guest satisfaction at the center of every operational decision.
Requirements
- At least 3–5+ years of experience in hospitality operations.
- Professional fluency in both German and English, spoken and written.
- A strongly hands-on approach and a preference for solving problems personally and immediately.
- Excellent prioritization skills and sound judgment under pressure.
- Ability to stay calm and effective when several issues happen at once.
- Willingness to travel regularly to company properties.
- Comfort with flexible working hours in a fast-growing environment where work may extend beyond standard Monday-to-Friday schedules.
- A personal commitment to customer happiness as a core value.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience managing or leading a team.
- Strong technical knowledge of hospitality software and systems such as PMS, channel managers, guest communication tools, and revenue management platforms.
- Experience with tools like apaleo, Straiv, Bookboost, or Hotellistat.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Background in opening new properties or locations.
- Experience working in fast-scaling hospitality businesses such as Numa, Limehome, Stayery, or similar operators.
What We Offer
- Direct access to the Managing Director and immediate visibility for your work.
- A meaningful role in helping the company move toward its 500-unit growth target.
- High autonomy within a founder-led, bootstrapped structure with fast decision-making and minimal bureaucracy.
- The opportunity to define and shape operational excellence as the business scales.
- A culture centered on genuine 5-star guest care rather than just ratings.
- A competitive and fair salary.
- A pleasant office in Munich.
- Regular team events.
- Wellpass membership supporting physical and mental well-being.
