Role Overview
The Geochemistry Division located in Stafford, Brisbane is looking for a full-time Laboratory Assistant. This role involves supporting the team’s commitment to providing accurate and timely results to clients. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided to develop your technical proficiency in role-specific procedures.
Work Schedule
This position operates on a 6-week rotational roster, covering multiple shift times across day, afternoon, and night slots.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out various digestion processes including aqua regia and four-acid digestions, handling hazardous substances such as hydrofluoric, hydrochloric, nitric, and perchloric acids.
- Calibrate laboratory instruments regularly to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and assist with routine housekeeping tasks.
- Help in testing reagents as required.
- Perform general laboratory duties when necessary.

- Flexible and prepared to work a rotating shift pattern including day, afternoon, and night shifts.
- Willingness to work reasonable overtime when needed.
