Role Overview
The Key Account Manager will oversee and expand strategic enterprise client portfolios by providing cybersecurity solutions tailored to their business and security needs. This role involves fostering enduring relationships with senior decision-makers, uncovering new sales prospects, driving revenue growth, and working closely with technical teams to ensure the delivery of effective solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of key enterprise accounts and work to increase their value.
- Build and maintain strong connections with CXOs, CISOs, IT leaders, and procurement groups.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities related to cybersecurity offerings.
- Formulate strategic account plans focused on achieving targeted revenue and profitability.
- Understand clients' security challenges and map suitable cybersecurity products and services.
- Partner with pre-sales, solution architects, delivery, and support teams to craft compelling proposals.
- Lead negotiations involving contracts, pricing, and commercial terms.
- Monitor customer satisfaction levels and ensure prompt resolution of issues.
- Maintain sales pipelines, forecasts, and account progress using CRM platforms.
- Keep abreast of trends, regulations, and competitors in the cybersecurity domain.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Business, or related fields;
- MBA degree is advantageous.
- Five to ten years’ experience in enterprise sales or key account management, with a minimum of three years specifically in cybersecurity or IT security.
- Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Cybersecurity Expertise (Preferred)
- Experience with Network Security technologies such as Firewalls and IDS/IPS.
- Knowledge of Endpoint Security including EDR/XDR solutions.
- Understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) systems.
- Familiarity with SIEM and SOC platforms.
- Expertise in Cloud Security across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Insight into Zero Trust Architecture principles.
- Experience with Data Loss Prevention and Email Security methods.
- Proficiency in Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing.
- Exposure to Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) environments.

- Renewal rates and expansion of contract scopes.
Preferred Certifications
- CISSP (desirable though not mandatory).
- CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+ certifications.
- ITIL Foundation is a plus.
- Vendor-specific credentials from Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cisco, Microsoft Security, CrowdStrike, Check Point, etc.
Experience
- Between 5 to over 10 years in enterprise sales or key account management roles.
- Specific experience selling cybersecurity solutions or managed security services to enterprise clients.
