Junior Hydrographic Surveyor

About the Role

Hydromaster LTD seeks an enthusiastic Junior Hydrographic Surveyor and Data Processor to become part of our growing survey team focusing on hydrographic, geophysical, and marine environmental monitoring projects throughout Ireland and the UK. While primarily a shore-based position, it involves a combination of field mobilizations, offshore operations, office data processing, and reporting.

Key Duties

Field Responsibilities:

• Organize transport and accommodation arrangements for site activities.
• Conduct equipment checks prior to mobilization.
• Handle mobilization, demobilization, and calibration of survey sensors onboard vessels or platforms.
• Carry out survey data collection and perform daily data backups.

Office Tasks:

• Process, validate, and interpret collected survey data.
• Support the production of charts and mapping efforts.
• Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of survey instruments.
• Provide general operational assistance and produce reports.

Candidate Profile

• Degree qualification in a survey-oriented field (Engineering or Technician) or relevant technical experience.
• Familiarity with hydrographic systems, surveying software, geodesy, and survey datum concepts; hands-on experience with navigation and data processing applications is advantageous.
• Possession of a full European driving license.
• Willingness to travel, work occasional weekends, and adaptability for on-site working hours; demonstrates team player attitude and flexibility.
