Overview
We are looking for a driven Junior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Silent Aire in Dublin. This role provides a fantastic chance for recent graduates or early-career engineers to develop practical skills and collaborate with seasoned professionals on various engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, and testing process of electrical systems and components.
- Create electrical schematics, drawings, and maintain technical documentation.
- Assist in project execution through calculations, simulations, and analysis.
- Engage in site inspections, visits, and commissioning tasks.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults; contribute to maintenance operations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical, civil, and software engineering disciplines.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable standards, codes, and safety guidelines.
- Help prepare various reports, specifications, and project records.
- Participate in efforts to improve engineering processes continuously.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Right to work in Ireland (valid work permit) is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Solid knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
- Experience with electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, Dialux, EPLAN, ETAP, or comparable tools.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems including power distribution, control panels, and instrumentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn and enhance technical expertise.
- Meticulous attention to detail and effective time management.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work under guidance to meet deadlines.
Preferred but Not Mandatory
- Previous internship or industrial placement in an engineering setting.
- Familiarity with standards such as IEC, NEC, and BS.
Additional Information
This opening offers an exposure-rich environment with a chance to develop a foundational engineering career. The role is based onsite in Dublin with a full-time schedule. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Ireland.
