Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Automation Engineer specializing in API automation for a full-time role based in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have over six years of expertise in developing and executing automated tests using Java and associated testing frameworks.

Primary and Mandatory Skills

Solid proficiency in Core Java programming
Experience with API automation testing using Rest Assured
Competence with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation
Knowledge of TestNG and JUnit testing frameworks
Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing
Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle
Version control using Git and GitHub
Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment using Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools
REST API testing including working with JSON and XML data formats
Database testing and SQL query expertise
Understanding and applying Agile Scrum methodology

Secondary Skills

Experience using Postman
Working knowledge of Jenkins for automation pipelines
Dependency and build management with Maven
Source code management using Git
Database testing using SQL

Desired Additional Skills

Familiarity with Cucumber BDD framework
Testing microservices architectures
Working knowledge of Docker containers
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and DevOps tools like Azure DevOps
Performance testing using JMeter
Experience with Kafka event streaming testing
Using SonarQube for static code analysis
