About the Role
Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. is seeking a Java Architect to design and oversee the architecture of Java-based software applications. This position involves creating system blueprints, selecting technology stacks, and ensuring integration and security of applications. The role is based in Chennai, India.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive architecture designs for Java applications, including system components, data flow, and technology choices.
- Analyze and translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications through active collaboration with stakeholders.
- Implement robust security frameworks to safeguard sensitive information within application architecture.
- Design integration strategies for seamless communication between various systems and APIs.
- Leverage cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for deploying and managing Java applications.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of Java core concepts including OOP, collections, concurrency, and JVM internals.
- Apply expertise in designing and developing microservices-based solutions.
- Utilize database design principles involving both relational and NoSQL technologies.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams ensuring smooth collaboration throughout project lifecycles.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in software architecture patterns such as MVC and microservices.
- Experience with popular Java frameworks including Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
- Sound understanding of database technologies, both relational and NoSQL.
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and software architecture fundamentals.
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Additional Skills Considered Advantageous
- Strong foundation in object-oriented programming and computer networking.
- Experience with integrated development environments and version control systems.
- Working knowledge of web frameworks and software architecture principles.
