Position Overview

The company is seeking a knowledgeable IT Specialist to join their diligent IT team, supporting over 200 employees across five sites including remote workers. The role is hands-on with responsibilities involving maintenance and enhancement of existing IT infrastructure, end-user support, network security, and protection against unauthorized data access or alterations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain daily IT infrastructure operations company-wide
• Install and configure new software, hardware, cloud services, and VMware components
• Monitor IT systems continuously for performance and security
• Assist staff in resolving IT-related issues with hardware and software
• Provide network and system administration support
• Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to address technical support tickets
• Educate employees on network safety and optimal computer practices
• Participate in rotating after-hours on-call technical support

Candidate Requirements

• At least 4 years of relevant IT experience in a similar position
• Strong understanding of operating systems, software, network topologies, and VMware or equivalent technologies
• Proficient in AWS administration including managing multi-server environments, user access (IAM), and backups
• Physical capability to handle computer hardware equipment and peripherals
• Possession of industry certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, VMware, or AWS is advantageous
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Effective organizational and planning skills
• Professional, clear communication skills suitable for interacting with all organizational levels

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time opportunity provides a business casual work environment and offers competitive compensation starting at $25 per hour.
