Job Summary
The IT Lab Officer will ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as 21CFR Part 11 and ISO 27001:2022. This role involves managing laboratory IT software systems, executing computer system validation, and overseeing various IT initiatives such as IT asset management, security, networking, software deployment, and infrastructure relevant to the plant location in Navi Mumbai.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain regulatory compliance for laboratory IT solutions aligned with standards like USFDA, NABL, GAMP 5, and GLP.
- Hands-on management of laboratory processes and software including ELN, SDMS, Chromeleon, GC, UV, Shimadzu, HPLC, FTIR, PSA, and LIMS.
- Lead and coordinate a team of 2-3 IT engineers, overseeing daily/weekly reporting and support management.
- Manage procurement requests within SAP and liaise with purchase and finance teams to secure approvals.
- Plan and track IT budgeting and expenditures against approved financial plans.
- Implement and monitor IT projects, management of change (MoC), and plant-related business projects.
- Oversee IT operations, project tracking, and engage stakeholders effectively.
- Deploy and maintain IT security systems on servers, networks, and user devices in accordance with ISO 27001:2022 and central team guidelines.
- Coordinate with central IT teams to manage firewalls, switches, anti-virus tools, and related infrastructure.
- Implement Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), and Information Security Management System (ISMS) processes at the plant level.
- Ensure compliance for all software applications used at the site.
- Utilize monitoring tools for IT infrastructure, network logs, and end-user computing as directed by central policies.
- Manage change management protocols as per IT policies.
- Handle contracts relating to network, bandwidth, end-user computing, and related infrastructure components.
- Conduct periodic vendor reviews to ensure service level agreement adherence.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies based on plant needs.
- Design and deliver training on IT systems to users and IT personnel.
- Proactively plan infrastructure upgrades in line with evolving business requirements.
- Exhibit excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree in any specialization.
