Overview
Join a diverse and inclusive team as an Intern supporting the MICE Integrated Services Team within the Sales & Customer Experience division. This internship provides practical exposure to multiple phases of MICE event management, including pre-sales, contracts, post-sales, and event execution. Working alongside seasoned professionals, you will gain comprehensive insights into the industry and its operational dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver administrative assistance to the Sales & Customer Experience teams by managing customer records accurately, handling inquiries, and preparing contracts and invoices.
- Assist in the pre-sales activities, such as lead generation, prospecting potential clients, and managing contracts.
- Coordinate with the Customer Experience team and internal parties to facilitate smooth event execution in the post-sales phase.
- Support event planning and coordination, including on-site participation at banquet events, organizing team-building activities, and internal company events.
- Oversee inventory of event supplies and promotional materials, and assist with operational duties like banquet event order summaries and administrative requisitions.
- Participate in data analysis projects and research efforts that help inform team decision-making.
- Enhance knowledge of the MICE sector, encompassing business verticals, client management strategies, event planning workflows, and the integration of technical and digital tools.
Candidate Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a full-time matriculated student.
- No prior experience needed; comprehensive training will be provided.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and task-driven.
- A team player with a cooperative mindset.
- Friendly, positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Genuine enthusiasm for the MICE industry with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Commit to a minimum duration of 6 months for Polytechnic students and 8 months for university students.
- Internship experience must fulfill academic graduation requirements.
