Role Overview

We are looking for a contract Interior Designer based in the NJ/NY region, offering hybrid work flexibility including work-from-home options. The role involves client consultations both in-person and via video, taking precise measurements of spaces, developing detailed room layouts, selecting materials, furniture, and décor, creating mood boards, and maintaining close collaboration with the rendering team daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct client meetings, both face-to-face and virtually.
• Measure and analyze spatial dimensions accurately.
• Create comprehensive layouts for each room to optimize space use.
• Choose appropriate construction materials, furniture, and decorative elements.
• Develop mood boards to represent design concepts.
• Coordinate regularly with the rendering team to ensure design consistency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of four years professional experience in interior design.
• Expertise in space planning, architecture, and preparing construction drawings.
• Strong knowledge of interior design principles and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment).
• Proven background in residential interior projects.
• Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Excellent attention to detail and a creative approach to design challenges.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or comparable disciplines.
