Information Management Lead

Job Overview

Wood is seeking an Information Management Lead for a long-term engagement based in Doha, Qatar. The primary responsibility includes overseeing all company information management requirements and acting as the liaison between the contractor's IT/IM teams and the company's IM/IT focal points. This role is crucial in both brownfield and greenfield projects within the onshore and offshore oil and gas sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal contact for all contractor information management activities.
• Ensure contractor systems and workflows meet the company’s data, document, and model delivery requirements according to contracts.
• Establish and maintain contractor information systems for managing data, documents, and models.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and drafting teams to support project workflows and deliverable production.
• Manage project progress and engineering/design status reporting.
• Supervise thorough and timely handover of information and deliverables to the company’s environment, including periodic document and drawing transmissions.

Qualifications and Experience

• A university degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as mechanical, welding, materials, or process engineering.
• At least 10 years of industrial or process engineering project delivery experience, preferably within the oil and gas or energy industry.
• Deep understanding of project lifecycle stages and the management of information (data, documents, models) throughout these stages, including handovers.
• Strong project management capabilities, preferably certified or trained with CAPM, PMP, PrMP, or equivalent qualifications.
• High IT proficiency with common user tools (Windows OS, MS Office) and enterprise-level electronic document management and data warehousing systems.
• Familiarity with engineering and design systems associated with process, instrumentation, electrical, piping, civil engineering, and 3D/CAD design.
