Informatica Data Lakehouse Platform Administrator & Support Engineer

About the Role

We seek a skilled Informatica Platform Administrator & Support Engineer to join an advanced data engineering team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This onsite contract position spans 12 months and focuses on hands-on support of a modern Data Warehouse alongside a Cloudera Data Lakehouse infrastructure. The role involves administering Informatica BDM/DEI, PowerExchange CDC, Axon, Spark, and Oracle database environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Informatica BDM and DEI platforms including related services and configurations.
• Oversee and troubleshoot ETL workflows, mapping processes, and batch data pipelines to ensure continuous operation.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve workflow failures, performance degradation, and breaches of service-level agreements.
• Support Informatica PowerExchange CDC pipelines addressing data capture, application, latency, and consistency challenges.
• Administer Informatica Axon for metadata management, data lineage tracking, and business glossary maintenance.
• Dive into Spark-based ETL processes to identify runtime, memory, and performance issues and recommend fixes.
• Monitor core Informatica services and runtime environments, including Tomcat servers and Spark clusters.
• Handle Oracle metadata repository tasks, ensuring proper connectivity, optimizing performance, managing storage, and maintaining backups.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 production support, including incident management and root cause analysis.
• Participate in deployments, software releases, production cutovers, and general environment upkeep.
• Engage in platform upgrades, security patching, and continuous optimization efforts.
• Create and maintain operational documentation such as runbooks, standard operating procedures, and monitoring dashboards.
• Automate recurring monitoring, alerting, and administrative functions to improve efficiency.
• Take part in shift rotations including 24/7 on-call support duties.

Candidate Profile

• Between 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience administering, engineering, or supporting Informatica platforms.
• Proven expertise with Informatica BDM and DEI systems.
• Demonstrated success in working with Informatica PowerExchange CDC technologies.
• Experience administering Informatica Axon and managing data governance and metadata tools.
• Competence in supporting Spark-powered ETL functions.
• Familiarity with Cloudera environments and Data Lakehouse architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle databases and Informatica repository management.
• Effective troubleshooting skills for production data platforms and resolving complex performance bottlenecks.
• Experience maintaining service level agreements in demanding 24/7 production environments.
• Understanding of incident management frameworks, root cause analysis procedures, and change deployment methodologies.
