Role Overview
This full-time position for an Independent Financial Advisor is based in Uganda and offers a hybrid working model that includes opportunities for remote work. The advisor will engage directly with clients to evaluate their financial objectives, review their current financial status, and create detailed strategies addressing investments, retirement planning, and overall financial health. Key daily tasks include compiling and delivering financial advisory reports, overseeing portfolio management, advising on modifications, and updating clients on relevant market developments.
The role requires building a strong client base, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and compliance mandates, working collaboratively with internal teams regarding product offerings, and maintaining precise documentation and records.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in financial planning, enabling the formulation of thorough client financial strategies.
- Strong background in finance and investments for comprehensive market, product, and portfolio analysis.
- Experience and knowledge in financial advisory, providing impartial and client-centered advice.
- Possession of a relevant bachelor's degree such as in Finance, Economics, Business, or related disciplines; professional certifications like CFP or CFA are beneficial.
- Demonstrable experience in financial advisory or wealth management along with proven success in cultivating client relationships.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and risk management awareness.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to simplify and communicate complex financial concepts effectively.
- Upholding high ethical standards, familiarity with regulatory frameworks, and competency in using financial planning and CRM software.
