About the Role and Company

Kepak Group is a prominent food manufacturing company seeking a Factory Cleaner to join the team at its Bodmin facility. The person in this position will be essential in sustaining exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards in the production plant, supporting food safety and quality benchmarks.

Kepak values innovation, sustainability, and high-quality product delivery. This full-time, permanent job offers Monday to Friday shifts starting at 6:30 AM until production concludes. Due to limited public transportation at these times and location, own transport is necessary.

Key Duties

  • Maintain factory cleanliness by cleaning floors, walls, and ceilings to ensure hygienic conditions.
  • Dispose of waste by emptying garbage and recycling containers located throughout the facility.
  • Sanitize production machinery and all surfaces that come into contact with food products.
  • Use industrial cleaning machines such as power washers, scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners effectively.
  • Comply fully with health, safety regulations, and uphold quality standards.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) rigorously.
  • Report any equipment or facility maintenance needs directly to supervisors.

Qualifications and Expectations

  • Experience in industrial cleaning or within food production settings is desirable.
  • Familiarity with GMP guidelines and HACCP is advantageous.
  • Ability to adhere to strict cleaning schedules meticulously.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Flexible to adjust working hours if required.
  • Capacity to function efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Physical fitness to handle manual tasks such as lifting and moving equipment.
