About the Role
This position acts as a reliable HR and Employee Relations (ER) expert responsible for executing ER best practices and ensuring compliance with HR policies as outlined in the HR Service Catalogue. The role aims to guarantee a positive experience for both employees and managers. It includes adherence to local laws and regulations in regular operations and during mergers and acquisitions integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all country-specific HR matters while aligning with local legislation and global HR priorities.
- Guide business leaders and managers to fulfill HR responsibilities per organizational policies and operational frameworks.
- Ensure uniform application of ER policies, procedures, and documentation to maintain consistency across the workplace.
- Coach managers effectively on performance management and disciplinary processes, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards to foster a respectful workplace environment.
- Act as a resource for work/life balance initiatives, support flexible work arrangements, and contribute to workplace culture and wellness programs.
- Handle case management related to disciplinary actions, performance concerns, redundancy, illness, and other ER issues by providing balanced solutions between risk and business considerations.
- Negotiate exit agreements, consulting legal advisors for complex cases.
- Monitor and improve employment practices by enforcing compliance with unique local regulations and updating HR policies according to legislative changes.
- Collaborate on diversity, wellness, disaster response, and culture initiatives aligned with global HR goals.
- Partner with Talent Advisory and Centers of Expertise to customize and implement talent development programs and enterprise-wide HR initiatives in compliance with local regulations.
- Drive standardization opportunities in HR processes and service delivery to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support global HR technology integration and tiered support models aimed at delivering consistent, high-quality HR services.
- Oversee local administration of benefits, vendor relations, and renewals, aligning with legal requirements and global benefits strategy.
- Assist with the internal movement of employees including international transfers and relocations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist offering pragmatic and business-focused support to leaders.
- Familiarity with professional services environments is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability in advising senior business leaders on employee relations and managing stakeholders effectively.
- Experience managing organizational restructuring and change initiatives is beneficial.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in English.
- Competent in engaging with colleagues across all organizational levels.
- Strong organizational aptitude with the ability to handle shifting priorities efficiently.
- Capable of independent work while thriving in teamwork settings.
- Understanding of global matrix operating environments.
- Significant hands-on expertise in managing complex Employee Relations issues independently, spanning 6 to 10 years.
