Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced HR & Admin Officer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This role is pivotal for managing recruitment, employee onboarding, HR administration, and employee relations within the hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage communication effectively and assist throughout the recruitment lifecycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring of candidates.
- Develop and nurture relationships with external recruiting partners, universities, and professional bodies to attract and source talent.
- Represent the company at job fairs and recruitment-related events, ensuring thorough documentation of all outreach efforts.
- Facilitate employee onboarding, orientations, and training sessions to promote positive workplace integration.
- Coordinate initiatives focused on employee development such as cross-training and learning programs to improve operational performance.
- Administer employee benefits, responding to inquiries and maintaining related documentation.
- Maintain clear channels of employee communication and drive employee engagement programs.
- Assist with employee relations including handling disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution in alignment with management.
- Ensure employee records and HR documents are accurate, well-maintained, confidential, and compliant with policies and legal standards.
- Support the application and adherence to HR policies, workplace safety, and confidentiality protocols.
- Manage workplace investigations and support accident reports and workers' compensation processes as needed.
- Prepare HR-related reports and assist leadership in workforce planning and HR compliance monitoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline.
- 7 to 10 years of HR experience within the hospitality industry, with mandatory current or prior experience at a Marriott hotel.
- Proficient user of Opera and other HR or hotel management software.
- Strong understanding of recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, and labor law compliance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; experience in the GCC region is a plus.
