The Gas Power division develops efficient natural gas technologies and decarbonization solutions to promote a low-carbon future. FieldCore, part of this team, installs, maintains, and upgrades power generation equipment to ensure reliable and affordable energy.
Role Summary
The Helper position involves performing routine maintenance such as servicing and lubricating mechanical equipment, and assisting mechanics with repair and overhaul tasks. The role supports the FieldCore vision and adheres to organizational values.
Key Responsibilities
- Lubricate machinery following established guidelines; check and replace oil, oil filters, air filters; refuel and service buses and other vehicles; replace hoses, belts, water pumps, batteries, and similar parts.
- Inspect fan belts, hoses, wiper blades, radiators, batteries, water, and antifreeze levels; manage tire pressure and repair or replace flat tires as necessary.
- Keep records of maintenance performed and identify upcoming servicing needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop facilities and equipment.
- Assist mechanics in performing moderate to complex repairs and overhauls on power equipment.
- Utilize testing instruments such as ammeters, voltmeters, and gauges to detect faults and determine repair requirements.
- Fulfill other assigned duties to support the team.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively both domestically and internationally.
- Availability to work on holidays, weekends, and overtime as field assignments require.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum one year experience in mechanical equipment repair and maintenance.
Desired Attributes
- Understanding of purchasing protocols and mechanical components pertaining to automotive, construction, and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to follow simple written and spoken instructions, maintain routine records, and perform manual labor tasks.
