About the Role
KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) delivers comprehensive asset lifecycle services including licensed process technologies, expert advisory support, energy transition strategies, and smart operational solutions. They are seeking a Heavy Truck Driver to transport various goods and materials safely and efficiently via trucks or other large vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport cargo between locations for distribution, sale, or delivery.
- Conduct vehicle safety inspections adhering to all protocols, especially when carrying hazardous substances.
- Maintain the vehicle, checking for and addressing any mechanical issues.
- Verify correct loading of cargo before transit.
- Review and manage all relevant shipping and transport documentation.
- Possibly coordinate with a secondary driver during shift changes to manage workload.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and encourage the reporting of unsafe acts or conditions.
- Follow all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) procedures before and during transport operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a truck driver.
- Good physical fitness to manage long periods of driving without rest.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting to handle roadside breakdowns.
- Reliable and punctual, maintaining schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Meticulous care when transporting hazardous or fragile cargo, following all necessary safety precautions.
Additional Information
This position is based in Jubail, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, and requires onsite presence. Candidates should be prepared for potential extended periods on the road and responsible for the safety and condition of their vehicles and cargo.
