Graphic Designer

Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled freelance Graphic Designer to join our team remotely, particularly for candidates based in Canada. In this role, you will craft diverse visual stories that enhance brand identity and communication across various media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize designs by analyzing relevant data and material.
• Create illustrative samples of art layout, sizing, typography, and styles for approval.
• Produce final artwork using appropriate equipment and software.
• Collaborate with external agencies, art services, web designers, marketing teams, printers, and internal colleagues as needed.
• Support team goals by completing assigned tasks efficiently.
• Interact with clients regarding layout and design preferences.
• Develop an array of graphics and layouts including product illustrations, logos, and websites utilizing tools like Photoshop.
• Assess final designs and recommend enhancements where applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related discipline.
• Previous experience as a graphic designer or related role.
• Proven graphic design capabilities supported by a robust portfolio.
• Advanced skills in desktop publishing software including Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Quark, and Illustrator.
• Keen visual judgment and composition skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to meet deadlines.
• Capability to provide and accept constructive critique.
• Comprehension of marketing, production, web design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertising, and multimedia design.
• Experience with computer-aided design tools.
