Role overview
Olive Tree Consulting Group is hiring a Graduate Frontend Developer to support the creation of internal digital tools used in advisory work. The position is centered on building user interfaces that help a Dublin-based financial firm improve how it tracks ownership, priorities, and decision-making. This is a fully remote role, with collaboration handled through clear written updates and purposeful video meetings.
About the team and work style
The consulting team focuses on the gap between strategic ideas and everyday execution. Much of the work involves turning abstract advisory recommendations into simple tools that make responsibilities visible and workflows easier to follow. The company prefers practical solutions, concise documentation, and calm, focused work over unnecessary meetings or flashy presentation.
What you will do
- Develop and support user interfaces with React and modern CSS techniques.
- Convert basic wireframes and rough sketches into responsive web components.
- Build maintainable styles that keep the product visually consistent.
- Work with consultants to understand how clients use the tools and respond to feedback loops.
- Improve existing frontend code for better performance, clarity, and readability.
- Identify, test, and resolve interface issues to support a dependable user experience.
- Record your implementation approach so developers and consultants can follow the logic behind the code.
- Take part in small technical reviews to help preserve code quality.
What we are looking for
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and current JavaScript practices.
- Introductory experience with React or another component-based framework, gained through study or personal projects.
- A preference for straightforward, practical interfaces rather than heavy animation or visual distraction.
- Good written and spoken communication, with the ability to explain technical ideas clearly.
- Comfort operating in a fully remote setup with self-managed tasks and scheduling.
- Strong attention to detail, especially around spacing, alignment, and user flow.
- Interest in learning how digital products can improve management habits and team coordination.
Helpful background
- Experience using version control tools such as Git.
- Personal projects or a public code repository that demonstrates web development interest.
- Exposure to CSS preprocessors or styling frameworks.
- Curiosity about user experience and navigation in data-heavy interfaces.
- Basic understanding of how frontend applications interact with backend services.
What we offer
This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote position. The role offers the chance to learn how advisory work is structured and how technology can support better operating habits. The team values quiet, focused work and avoids a culture of constant or unnecessary meetings. Compensation is paid and positioned competitively for the graduate market.
About Olive Tree Consulting Group
Olive Tree Consulting Group is an advisory practice that helps leadership teams address recurring management problems. The firm works in the space between strategy and day-to-day execution, focusing on the patterns that cause decisions to reopen, priorities to drift, or ownership to become unclear. Its approach favors practical changes, useful written notes, and simple records that support better follow-through without relying on memory alone.
Additional information
The role is connected to work with a Dublin-based financial firm. The position is described as fully remote, permanent, and full-time. Pay is stated to be competitive for the graduate market, but no specific salary figure is provided.
