Role Overview
This Graduate Engineer role supports civil engineering projects by contributing to design work, field activities, documentation, and coordination across teams. The position is suited to someone beginning their engineering career and keen to learn from senior professionals while working on real project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior engineers in developing engineering drawings, designs, and technical specifications.
- Carry out site inspections, surveys, and visits to collect information and track project progress.
- Assist with calculations and technical assessments to confirm that designs meet applicable codes and standards.
- Work with different disciplines to help create practical, innovative, and sustainable engineering solutions.
- Draft technical reports, project documents, and presentation materials for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to project coordination tasks such as timelines, cost tracking, and resource planning.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental requirements across all project locations.
- Keep up to date with civil engineering developments, industry practices, and emerging methods.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to use engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar software.
- Basic understanding of structural analysis and design concepts.
- Working knowledge of construction materials and construction techniques.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Careful attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
