Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Full Stack Developer Intern to join our team. This position provides a valuable chance to gain practical experience in full stack web development, working with seasoned professionals on impactful projects. Responsibilities include developing and supporting web applications across front-end and back-end components.

Key Responsibilities

• Help design, build, and maintain web applications utilizing modern front-end and back-end tech stacks.
• Work closely with Data Scientists, Art designers, and fellow developers to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Create responsive, user-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Develop server-side logic and APIs with languages like Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Java.
• Engage in code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Document features and applications developed.
• Participate actively in team meetings, brainstorming, and ongoing learning.

Candidate Profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Fundamental knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js is advantageous.
• Basic experience with back-end development languages like Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Java.
• Some exposure to databases (both SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling is beneficial.
• Experience using version control systems like Git is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills capable of explaining technical topics to varied audiences.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team and multitask efficiently.

Location & Facilities

The role is located at The Shugart site in Singapore, a research and design center named after Seagate’s founder, Al Shugart. The site is accessible via One-North MRT station and offers extensive recreational options, including badminton courts, table tennis, gym, yoga, and Zumba classes. Additional on-site activities include photography, gardening, language clubs, community volunteering, and company events.
