We are seeking a skilled Fragrance Evaluator to bolster our Dubai-based team and support our regional development efforts.

Main Responsibilities

The Fragrance Evaluator will be instrumental in managing and advancing fragrance projects for both regional and international clients within the Middle East market. This role involves close collaboration with perfumers, sales personnel, and customers, translating market insights and client needs into effective olfactive directions and successful fragrance developments. Success in this position hinges on profound olfactive expertise, creativity, a keen understanding of customers, and in-depth knowledge of Middle Eastern fragrance preferences and market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate fragrance submissions and provide guidance to perfumers to meet customer expectations and project goals.
• Establish olfactive directions, benchmarks, and fragrance briefs for the creation teams.
• Select and refine fragrances based on technical, commercial, and emotional considerations.
• Ensure fragrance developments are aligned with prevailing regional market trends and customer positioning.
• Assist in the adaptation and optimization of fragrances for diverse applications.
• Present fragrance collections and submissions to clients.
• Comprehend client requirements, brand identity, and target consumer expectations.
• Cultivate robust client relationships through proactive support and market insight.
• Engage in client meetings, presentations, and development workshops.
• Monitor fragrance trends within the Middle East market, with a focus on Fine Fragrance, Air Care, and Personal Care.
• Analyze competitor product launches and emerging olfactive trends.
• Contribute to internal trend analyses and innovation projects.
• Collaborate effectively with perfumers, the application laboratory, marketing, and sales departments.
• Oversee projects from initial briefing through to final approval.
• Maintain diligent project tracking within internal systems and adhere to timelines.
• Support the regional commercial strategy by leveraging olfactive expertise.

Profile Required

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Fragrance Evaluator in a fragrance house or a related sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of Middle Eastern olfactive preferences and regional market dynamics.
• Prior experience in Fine Fragrance and/or Consumer Products is highly desirable.
• Exceptional olfactive sensitivity and a strong foundation in fragrance knowledge.
• Proficiency in communication and presentation.
• Capability to translate marketing concepts into tangible olfactive creations.
• A commercial mindset and a strong customer-centric approach.
• Well-organized, proactive, and adept at managing multiple concurrent projects.
• A collaborative team player with an entrepreneurial drive.

Languages

• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Arabic is a significant asset.
• Knowledge of French is a plus.
