Floor Attendant

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the landfill site daily, operating equipment such as lawnmowers and leaf blowers to ensure cleanliness and proper upkeep.
• Utilize heavy machinery like backhoes and forklifts to transport materials across the site.
• Provide assistance to visitors by guiding them through the process of disposing and recycling their household items correctly.

Qualifications and Desired Skills

• Previous landfill site experience is advantageous.
• A valid driver’s license and dependable personal transportation are required since the location is not accessible using public transit.
• Experience with backhoe and forklift operation is a plus.
• Familiarity with the safe handling, storage, and disposal protocols for hazardous substances and dangerous waste is beneficial.
• Mechanical skills or a general aptitude for machinery would be considered a strong asset.
• Availability to work weekend shifts is necessary for this role.
