Role Overview
The Finance Business Partner will support the Finance Manager within the Client, Growth & Strategy division by delivering high-quality financial advice and decision-making support. This role involves strategic financial modelling, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting to help drive the division’s short- and long-term financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models such as client renewal pricing models, new business sales pipeline forecasts, scenario analyses, sensitivity assessments, and other financial analytical tasks.
- Collaborate with Product teams and business partners to provide financial inputs for pricing strategies related to client proposals, renewals, and mergers.
- Partner with business unit leadership to enable data-driven financial decision-making through insightful analysis and recommendations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Business Unit Finance team to enhance productivity, efficiency, and financial process effectiveness.
- Manage end-to-end monthly financial activities including month-end close, year-to-date reporting, and performance tracking.
- Prepare and present monthly dashboards across key business channels that highlight critical client and product metrics, trends, and variances.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities proactively and deliver actionable insights to optimize business outcomes.
- Own the development and maintenance of a driver-based three-year strategic financial plan and rolling monthly forecasts aligned with established timelines.
- Analyze key transaction drivers collaborating with business stakeholders to incorporate driver-based inputs and insights.
- Compose qualitative reports outlining budget and forecast submissions, including potential risks and opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant university degree combined with CA or CPA qualification demonstrating commercial expertise.
- Minimum of five years' experience in management accounting or financial planning and analysis (FP&A) roles.
- Strong analytical capabilities, with attention to identifying material inaccuracies in data and developing corrective solutions.
- Proven skills in effective business partnering and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated success in implementing continuous improvement or financial process transformation initiatives.
Preferred Experience
- Background in retail banking or payments industries is advantageous.
