Overview
The File Transfer Professional plays a crucial role in managing the secure and accurate exchange of data between ProLiant's Payroll, HR, and Time and Labor systems and external vendors involved in services like 401(k), benefits, and banking. This position requires coordination with clients, their partners, and internal teams to ensure smooth and ongoing file transfers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily client support by addressing questions related to file transfers promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate effectively with clients and other company representatives to deliver excellent customer service and maintain client satisfaction.
- Identify and troubleshoot file transfer issues proactively to resolve client concerns swiftly.
- Gather file specifications and setup protocols to create, configure, and test custom file exports for each transfer.
- Monitor daily transmissions ensuring files are sent accurately and on schedule, confirming compliance with client and vendor guidelines.
- Investigate and correct inbound and outbound file transfer discrepancies on a daily basis.
- Audit daily maintenance activities across various data and scheduling integration platforms.
- Analyze transmissions and payroll data to respond to inquiries from clients, partners, and internal staff.
- Configure new file transfer systems for incoming clients as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of payroll regulations to ensure compliance and support ongoing certification requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related discipline.
- Strong aptitude for learning company software and related applications.
- Highly motivated with attention to detail and reliability in completing tasks.
- Exceptional communication skills, comfortable engaging in serious or complex discussions with professionalism.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and meeting strict deadlines efficiently.
- Willingness and ability to learn new software tools and to work with SQL queries; SQL experience is a plus.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role operates in a traditional office environment with standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, printers, and scanners. Occasional overtime may be required during critical periods like quarter or year-end processes. The job involves regular communication, often requiring clear and effective verbal interactions, primarily while seated at a workstation.
Schedule
The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, within the company's operational hours of 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
