About the Role
Michel Germain Parfums Ltd., located roughly 35 minutes outside Ottawa, Ontario, is seeking a seasoned Executive Director to oversee operations within warehouse, production, and fulfillment departments. This permanent, full-time leadership position requires a hands-on approach to managing teams, refining processes, and ensuring high product quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the daily operational activities across warehouse, production, and fulfillment functions.
- Manage and support managers, supervisors, and frontline team members in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Implement employee engagement, coaching, and retention strategies to foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Ensure order accuracy, timely shipping, precise inventory management, effective labor planning, and optimal production workflows.
- Monitor and drive operational KPIs, promote continuous process improvements, maintain workplace safety, and uphold quality standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, logistics, sales, ecommerce, regulatory, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.
Performance Indicators
- Achievement of on-time shipments and high order and inventory accuracy.
- Optimization of production output, throughput, and labor efficiency.
- Consistency in quality performance, adherence to safety regulations, and effective cost management.
- Ongoing improvements in team engagement and timely operational reporting.
Candidate Profile
- At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience within warehouse, production, distribution, manufacturing, fulfillment, or supply chain environments.
- Proven ability to lead multi-tiered teams including managers, supervisors, and frontline personnel.
- Comprehensive understanding of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, returns, inventory control, and value-added processing.
- Familiarity with hazardous materials management and compliance with Transportation of Dangerous Goods regulations.
- Experience in production or light manufacturing sectors, preferably within consumer goods such as beauty, cosmetics, fragrance, or personal care industries.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to enhance performance and cultivate a motivated team culture.
- Proficiency with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems; experience with NetSuite is highly advantageous.
