Research Department Overview

The Investment Research division uniquely supports client investment decisions by providing insightful insights into buy-side perspectives. Covering approximately 3,000 stocks and various major asset classes globally, their equity research team analyzes both macroeconomic and microeconomic factors, company fundamentals, and produces detailed financial models to inform stock recommendations.

Role Summary

We are seeking an Associate to join the Enterprise Software equity research team. This role involves developing and maintaining complex earnings, valuation, and industry models based on expertise in accounting, finance, and economics. The Associate will author research reports including coverage initiations, earnings analyses, and industry updates, while engaging with institutional investors and company representatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and update financial models focusing on earnings, valuation, and industry metrics.
• Produce comprehensive research reports covering company analyses, earnings, and sector developments.
• Engage with institutional investors by addressing requests for financial models and data interpretation.
• Monitor and analyze industry news and trends and evaluate their impact on covered companies.
• Establish and sustain communication with investor relations and company management teams.
• Implement AI-enhanced research tools to expedite data collection, model upkeep, and analysis while ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Conduct primary research via surveys, expert calls, and channel checks to assess industry dynamics.
• Support internal sales and trading teams with rapid analysis of sector news.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment banking, or capital markets.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel for building and maintaining detailed financial models.
• Professional experience in writing research notes, correspondence, or industry presentations.
• Strong skills in PowerPoint for preparing presentations and reports.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining flexibility.
• Exceptional attention to detail is essential.
• Progress towards CFA certification is advantageous.

Compensation and Culture

The expected base annual salary ranges from $110,000 to $125,000 for Analysts, and $150,000 to $200,000 for Associates, subject to individual consideration. This base pay forms part of a larger compensation package that may include commissions, bonuses, and other incentives.
