Overview
Equity Bank Limited in Rwanda is seeking fresh graduates for entry-level roles focused on efficiently managing both cash and non-cash customer transactions according to the bank's standards. This position emphasizes delivering timely and accurate service to customer inquiries to meet turnaround time goals.
Core Responsibilities
- Efficiently handle cash transactions including deposits via cash and cheques and withdrawals, ensuring accuracy.
- Verify deposit slips and process transactions complying with established banking protocols.
- Maintain accurate, prompt recording of all transactions and balance cash drawers at shift end.
- Respond professionally to customer questions about account balances, statements, cheque books, and digital products.
- Prepare reports on newly opened accounts and process incoming and outgoing remittances timely and accurately.
- Adhere to internal control processes during transaction handling to mitigate risks like fraud and forgery.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree with First Class or Second-Class Upper honors (or equivalent) in any discipline, coupled with enthusiasm for a banking career.
- Competence in business and data analysis, strong numerical skills for handling cash and performing financial calculations.
- Customer service aptitude with clear communication skills to effectively resolve queries.
- Meticulous attention to detail for accurate transaction processing and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), banking software, and data entry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Kinyarwanda; French language knowledge is advantageous.
- Organizational abilities to efficiently manage time, tasks, and paperwork.
- High integrity and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive financial data.
- Teamwork and collaborative spirit alongside problem-solving capabilities.
