Role Overview
The Ecommerce Marketing Coordinator will play a crucial role in enhancing every phase of the customer journey—from discovery through search and AI-driven experiences to purchasing and fostering loyalty. The position focuses on ecommerce merchandising, website optimization, SEO, generative engine optimization (GEO), analytics, and digital experiments to drive steady growth. Ideal candidates are data-driven problem solvers who enjoy analyzing customer behavior and implementing incremental improvements for significant business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the Riversol Shopify ecommerce platform, enhancing product, collection, landing pages, site navigation, search, and merchandising.
- Spot and resolve pain points in the buying journey to smooth customer experience and reduce purchase friction.
- Work closely with designers and developers to roll out website improvements that ensure fast-loading, accurate, and best-practice aligned pages.
- Utilize analytics tools including GA4, heatmaps, session recordings, and user feedback to understand visitor behavior.
- Formulate hypotheses for A/B testing and execute experiments to improve conversion rates and average order value.
- Track and report on ecommerce KPIs such as conversion rates, cart additions, checkout completion, bounce rates, and revenue per visitor.
- Enhance SEO and GEO efforts by optimizing content, meta details, link structures, structured data, and technical SEO to improve organic and AI search visibility.
- Conduct keyword research and spot new content opportunities to support growth on search engines and AI platforms like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews.
- Prepare insightful dashboards and reports to inform teams about website and marketing performance metrics; communicate actionable insights to leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including paid media, lifecycle marketing, creative, product, and customer service to elevate the customer experience and prioritize impactful projects.
- Stay updated with the latest ecommerce, SEO, AI search, and digital analytics trends and Shopify platform enhancements.
Candidate Profile
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in digital marketing, ecommerce, CRO, SEO, or web analytics.
- Strong analytical abilities with sharp attention to detail.
- Proficient with Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms.
- Experienced in Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Looker Studio.
- Solid understanding of SEO basics, technical SEO, and content optimization.
- Curious and knowledgeable about AI-enhanced search and emerging digital marketing technologies.
- Comfortable analyzing data with tools like Excel or Google Sheets.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills coupled with a growth mindset focused on continuous testing and optimization.
Additional Advantages
- Hands-on experience conducting A/B testing with platforms such as Intelligems, Convert, VWO, or Optimizely.
- Familiarity with user behavior analysis tools like Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity.
- Basic knowledge of Shopify themes, HTML/CSS, or Liquid coding.
- Experience in ecommerce merchandising or working within the DTC beauty, skincare, or health sectors.
- Practical exposure to AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Perplexity in professional settings.
Compensation and Location
The salary range for this role is $50,000 to $65,000 annually, dependent on qualifications and experience, with additional performance bonuses. The position is located at Riversol’s Vancouver office at 1395 Boundary Road. After six months, some hybrid work flexibility may be negotiable.
