About the Role
We are recruiting a Director of People Operations to enhance and grow our HR Operations as Life360 continues expanding. This hands-on, leadership role focuses on operational excellence, automation, and guiding change management to improve team processes. You will oversee a small team of three to four HR specialists, assisting them in shifting from manual process additions toward scalable automation and redesign to proactively support business growth.
The annual US salary range for this position is $200,000 to $242,500, with final compensation based on experience, location, skills, and knowledge. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, financial plans, and equity participation.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and audit current People Ops workflows to identify areas for automation, AI integration, and process improvement that reduce manual effort and cycle times.
- Lead adoption of AI-driven tools for core HR functions like onboarding, offboarding, compliance, ticket management, and reporting, with clear milestones and impact measurement.
- Drive change management efforts to transition the team from checklist-driven to data-informed automated processes.
- Identify and implement efficient, scalable, and cost-effective People Team solutions emphasizing building infrastructure, increasing automation, and ethical AI usage.
- Manage and develop a team of experienced HR Operations professionals, setting performance goals, delivering constructive feedback, and enhancing automation skillsets.
- Develop and oversee HR operational strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and improved efficiencies throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Lead HR projects from start to finish, including detailed planning, stakeholder engagement, resource allocation, budgeting, and consistent progress reporting.
- Ensure HR compliance with SOX requirements, local labor laws, and internal policies through audits and continuous process improvements.
- Refine People Team service delivery models to provide accurate and empathetic responses to employee inquiries supported by data-driven improvements.
- Oversee global HR operations to maintain compliance with international local laws and collaborate with systems and analytics teams to optimize HR technology decisions.
- Manage the Contractor Program with Talent Acquisition, including agreements, tracking, onboarding, and offboarding contractors.
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Compensation, and Learning & Development teams to align People Ops processes with business needs and reduce operational friction.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 12 years of experience in People or HR Operations with proven success in scaling HR processes in fast-growth settings.
- Demonstrated leadership in driving operational transformations focusing not only on work content but fundamentally modernizing team workflows.
- Hands-on expertise with AI-driven HR tools, workflow automation, and process redesign.
- Excellent people management capabilities, including performance coaching and managing change.
- Strong practical knowledge of HR systems, technology, compliance including SOX, and international employment law basics.
- Data-centric mindset using metrics to define baselines, monitor progress, and advocate for change.
- Clear, direct communication style comfortable with candid discussions across all organizational levels.
