Overview
This role, based in the United States, involves leading the creation and implementation of organization-wide learning and talent development strategies that enhance skills, leadership capabilities, and support business expansion. Reporting through a partner company, the Director collaborates closely with HR executives, team leaders, and cross-functional departments to build scalable programs that foster employee growth and readiness for leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement a comprehensive learning and development plan that aligns with company objectives and workforce needs.
- Develop scalable educational programs addressing technical competencies, professional growth, leadership development, and job-specific advancement.
- Oversee curriculum design and program delivery, managing facilitators, subject experts, and scheduling processes.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to enhance career development frameworks, competency models, and internal mobility efforts.
- Lead the performance management cycle including goal setting, evaluations, calibration, and manager enablement initiatives.
- Identify talent gaps and high-potential individuals, providing tailored development plans, mentoring, and leadership growth opportunities.
- Design and support succession planning by recognizing future leaders and preparing talent pools.
- Integrate learning and performance practices into broader HR strategies in collaboration with leadership teams.
- Contribute to AI-focused capability-building by working with global enablement teams to enhance AI learning adoption and readiness.
- Implement assessment frameworks to monitor program effectiveness and guide improvements based on data insights.
- Report talent development progress and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Human Resources, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Business, or Education; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of escalating experience in learning, organizational development, talent management, or related HR leadership roles.
- Proven track record designing learning strategies, leadership initiatives, career pathway frameworks, and scalable training solutions.
- Extensive experience managing performance management systems, including coaching, reviews, calibration, and development planning.
- Demonstrated capability in supporting talent reviews, high-potential identification, succession planning, and development planning.
- Leadership experience in managing or mentoring HR professionals or learning and development teams.
- Work experience in professional services, consulting, technology services, or similar industries is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Data & AI tools, Power Platform, and Azure is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills utilizing workforce data and business metrics to measure program impact and drive improvements.
- Knowledge and experience with performance management platforms, with PerformYard preferred.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Able to handle multiple priorities, maintain discretion, and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
