Key Responsibilities

• Assist in formulating and refining comprehensive enterprise-wide strategic plans aligned with Mount Sinai's mission and objectives across multiple domains including clinical, research, and education.
• Promote interdisciplinary collaboration among financial, clinical, research, educational, and operational teams to identify and assess strategic opportunities, trends, and partnerships.
• Execute detailed analyses such as environmental scans, market and competitor assessments, and scenario planning, utilizing data analytics, forecasting, and scenario modeling to support strategic decisions.
• Consolidate analytical results into clear, persuasive presentations and reports for executive leadership.
• Deliver strategic recommendations to senior leaders to guide multi-year investment decisions.
• Translate strategic priorities into actionable projects, monitoring their progress with defined performance metrics.
• Provide expert strategic analysis and serve as a thought partner within the strategy team.
• Prepare high-level executive reports, board materials, and presentations on strategy progress and outcomes.
• Work effectively within a small, agile strategy team promoting a collaborative and result-driven culture.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced qualifications such as MBA, MHA, MPH, or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of five years’ relevant experience primarily in strategic planning or enterprise strategy, ideally within large healthcare systems or academic medical centers.
• Proven expertise leading comprehensive market assessments, competitive analyses, and crafting business cases in healthcare settings.
• Familiarity with academic health systems favored.
• Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving abilities, especially in leveraging market intelligence and data-driven insights.
• Technical proficiency in SQL or Python; knowledge of healthcare claims data is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills to engage and influence senior executives, faculty leaders, and partners effectively.
• Ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate at all organizational levels.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $117,000 to $208,000 annually, dependent on factors such as experience, education, and operational needs. This range excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, or other benefits.
