Position Summary
The Director, Brand Marketing will lead the U.S. healthcare professional (HCP) brand strategy and marketing execution for D-PLEX100 within Azurity's ARGO franchise, which targets hospital and surgical applications. This role reports to the Senior Director, Brand Marketing of D-PLEX100 and is responsible for managing day-to-day brand operations, campaign development, agency interactions, and launch preparation. The position focuses on driving adoption in institutional hospital settings through coordinated promotional and access initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement integrated marketing plans for hospital and surgical settings aligned with brand and corporate goals.
- Oversee daily brand activities ensuring timely development, review, production, and deployment of marketing campaigns and materials.
- Analyze brand performance metrics and market dynamics to inform tactical adjustments.
- Facilitate market research efforts to gather insights from surgeons, pharmacies, and institutions to refine marketing strategies.
- Contribute to launch readiness by developing promotional materials, tools, and training content coordinated with regulatory approvals and reimbursement milestones.
- Synchronize HCP demand generation with institutional access strategies including formulary and coding support.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and external agencies to produce compliant, high-quality educational and promotional content.
- Manage brand lifecycle activities across pre-launch, launch, and growth phases, including budget oversight.
- Support indication expansion by developing positioning and demand generation tactics for new surgical applications.
- Monitor competitive landscape and standard-of-care evolutions to adapt marketing strategies appropriately.
- Coordinate with sales training, commercial partners, and compliance teams to ensure effective franchise education.
- Foster strong collaboration between marketing and hospital field teams to align strategic messaging.
- Engage with key opinion leaders in surgery and pharmacy to gain insights influencing brand planning.
- Work with external partners and agencies to develop omnichannel campaigns targeted to hospital and surgical professionals.
Success Criteria
- Timely delivery of compliant campaigns, materials, and tools ready for the field at launch.
- Achievement or surpassing of brand goals related to awareness, protocol adoption, and account uptake.
- Alignment of promotional activities with institutional access deliverables.
- Consistent, compliant brand messaging across all communication channels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Life Sciences, Business, or related discipline required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years in pharmaceutical/biotech industry, including 5+ years of U.S. in-line marketing and launch experience.
- Experience managing multiple brands or indications in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a hands-on, collaborative style.
- Proven leadership in executing brand campaigns, messaging, materials, and agency management through comprehensive compliance reviews.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication capabilities, adept at aligning field and agency partners.
- Experience collaborating with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales, and Regulatory teams on compliant content development.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20-30% for conferences, sales meetings, and field activities.
Preferred Experience
- Background in hospital, surgical, anti-infective, or inpatient buy-and-bill pharmaceutical products.
- Familiarity with products reimbursed via DRG and governed by Pharmacy & Therapeutics committees affecting institutional access.
- Experience launching in-licensed or newly acquired medicines.
- Marketing expertise focused on surgeon and hospital pharmacy audiences.
- Knowledge of drug-device combinations or novel delivery systems marketing.
