Digital Solution Engineer - Security (Italian Market)

Overview

Join Microsoft as a Digital Security Solution Engineer serving the Italian market from Dublin or Barcelona. This role invites individuals passionate about cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and supporting organizations to enhance their resilience against evolving digital threats. The position involves partnering with both technical and business leaders to design and deploy advanced security solutions that protect assets including identities, endpoints, data, applications, cloud resources, and AI environments. Utilizing Microsoft’s holistic security suite, you will help customers minimize risks, strengthen security postures, and foster innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead digital security transformation initiatives aligned with organizational goals and compliance frameworks.
• Design, demonstrate, and deploy solutions spanning Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Entra, Purview, and Security Copilot.
• Guide customers through adopting Zero Trust security models, modernizing Security Operations Centers, and enhancing threat detection and response capabilities.
• Drive discussions around data protection, governance, regulatory compliance, and secure implementation of AI technologies.
• Highlight the benefits of Agentic AI Security and AI-powered security operations to improve efficiency and cyber resilience.
• Collaborate extensively with Microsoft teams, partners, and client stakeholders to achieve impactful security outcomes.
• Build trusted partnerships with CISOs, security leaders, IT departments, and business stakeholders, co-creating compliant and scalable security strategies.
• Eliminate technical challenges and speed up deployment through close cooperation with engineering, partners, and product groups, incorporating customer feedback into product development.
• Represent Microsoft as a trusted security advisor at forums, executive briefings, and industry events, exhibiting thought leadership in cybersecurity and AI security.

Required Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field combined with experience in technical pre-sales or technical consulting. Equivalent experience also acceptable.
• Strong understanding of security domains including identity management, endpoint security, data protection, cloud security, and AI-related security measures.
• Knowledge of security frameworks, compliance requirements, and modern security operation centers.
• Excellent customer engagement capabilities and skills in designing security solutions.
• A growth-oriented mindset with eagerness to continuously learn and obtain industry certifications.
• Proficiency in Italian is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, technology delivery, or related fields.
• Familiarity with cloud and hybrid infrastructure, architecture design, migrations, technology management, and industry standards.
• Relevant certifications such as those related to Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architecture and Development, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, or Architecture.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary in Ireland typically ranges from €60,300 to €102,600 annually. In Spain, the salary range for this role is approximately €53,000 to €92,000 per year. Additional benefits and compensation may be applicable depending on the role.
