Job Overview
The College seeks a full-time Digital Content Director responsible for leading and managing the strategic direction of its digital presence, including websites and social media. This senior role demands oversight of the user experience and interface to support educational and recruitment goals, managing creative direction and technical standards, and supervising a digital team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead creative and artistic control over digital projects and oversee the digital and social media personnel.
- Supervise the Digital Content Specialist, Social Media Strategist, and Web Developer, delegating duties and offering constructive feedback.
- Develop design solutions addressing website UX/UI challenges to ensure clear information delivery to target audiences.
- Manage website functionality, email marketing, and enrollment CRM systems to maintain cohesive digital content.
- Collaborate with project managers to align digital briefs with campus stakeholder expectations while preserving brand integrity.
- Contribute to the creation and strategy of digital recruitment campaigns and social media content.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews on digital marketing materials within the division.
- Safeguard and store digital assets in line with department protocols.
- Estimate and manage project timelines effectively to ensure deadlines are met.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in design, marketing communications, computer science, or a related area, or an extensive portfolio of quality digital work.
- At least five years of experience in digital marketing, web management, or social media strategy.
- Strong expertise with industry-standard digital media tools for web design and social media communication.
- Proven leadership abilities to manage technical teams, delegate tasks, motivate staff, and uphold brand standards.
- Capability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with software like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and specialized CRM and digital marketing platforms.
- Up-to-date knowledge on media trends and competitor communication strategies.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Drive).
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering community and inclusion.
- Successful completion of interview and background checks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related discipline.
- Experience managing complex projects involving multiple digital creatives.
- Understanding of integration between written content and UX/UI design principles.

Working Hours and Location
This is a full-time exempt position based on the Franklin & Marshall College campus in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, entailing a 40-hour workweek Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends.
