About the Role

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is looking for an enthusiastic Deputy Chief Operating Officer (Deputy COO) to assist the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in managing daily operational duties and driving organizational objectives through the election cycle. This crucial role partners closely with the COO to lead operational HR management and expand key processes supporting coordinated campaign efforts during the midterm and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the COO in overseeing the Committee's operational functions including human resources, security, travel coordination, events, risk and contract management, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), state support for campaign coordination, and asset management.
  • Collaborate on compliance and insurance matters related to operations.
  • Advise the COO on critical internal and external policy and operational issues, including significant events.
  • Lead and assist with designing, recommending, implementing, and communicating new or updated systems, rules, and procedures.
  • Work alongside the COO to set and achieve short and long-term goals, developing business plans and performance metrics while ensuring proper internal controls.
  • Represent the COO and DNC at relevant meetings, including organizational, community, and business group events.
