About the Role
The Deli Assistant position focuses on preparing a variety of high-quality hot and cold deli products, ensuring customer satisfaction remains a top priority.
Candidate Profile
- Training in HACCP is beneficial but not mandatory
- Strong communication abilities
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Capability to collaborate effectively within a team in a fast-moving environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- A genuine enthusiasm for food and motivating customers through this passion
Primary Responsibilities
- Embody the Centra brand values: Pride, Energy, Imagination, and Community Focus
- Prepare customer orders covering all fresh food sections including sandwich and roll assembly, hot food serving, and meat slicing following portion control guidelines
- Cook, prepare, and arrange food items available throughout the day
- Maintain counter displays at high standards consistently during operating hours
- Share enthusiasm for quality food by providing product knowledge, recipes, and personalized recommendations to customers
- Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally adhering to store policies
