Job Overview
The role of a Database Administrator encompasses designing, overseeing, and enhancing database systems to guarantee consistent data availability, integrity, optimal performance, and security.
Responsibilities
- Set up, configure, and manage various database systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Optimize database operations through performance tuning and effective indexing strategies.
- Execute regular backups, implement disaster recovery plans, and configure for high availability.
- Protect databases from unauthorized access through security best practices.
- Collaborate with software developers by assisting with complex database queries and schema architecture.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of three years hands-on experience in database administration roles.
- Applicants must be residents currently living in Qatar.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
- Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional
