About the Role
This position is a remote contract opportunity for an experienced data science professional who wants to help evaluate and improve advanced AI systems. The work is centered on creating challenging technical problems, checking model outputs, and strengthening how AI handles complex topics across machine learning, statistics, and data engineering.
The role is designed for people who prefer flexible, independent work and want assignments they can complete on their own schedule.

What You'll Do
- Create advanced data science prompts and challenges covering areas such as hyperparameter tuning, Bayesian methods, cross-validation, dimensionality reduction, and related technical topics.
- Produce accurate reference solutions with detailed reasoning, including Python or R code, SQL queries, and mathematical derivations that can be used as evaluation benchmarks.
- Review AI-generated code for technical correctness, performance, and alignment with accepted practices using tools and frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
- Spot reasoning errors such as data leakage, overfitting, and mishandling of imbalanced datasets, then document clear feedback that helps improve model behavior.
Who You Are
- You have a Master’s degree or PhD, or are currently pursuing one, in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or another quantitative discipline.
- You bring strong grounding in supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, big data tools like Spark and Hadoop, or NLP.
- You can explain complex statistical and algorithmic ideas clearly in writing.
- You are highly meticulous and notice mistakes in code, notation, and statistical interpretation that others may overlook.
- No previous AI annotation experience is necessary.
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, quality assurance for data, or model evaluation processes.
- Exposure to production-oriented data science workflows such as MLOps or CI/CD for machine learning systems.
