Role overview
We are seeking an entry-level Data Insights Analyst to turn raw business data into practical insights that support decision-making. This full-time, onsite role in Australia is suited to someone who enjoys exploring data, spotting patterns, and helping teams make informed choices.
Key responsibilities
- Gather, structure, and evaluate data from different business systems and sources.
- Build reports, dashboards, and visual presentations that make findings easy to understand.
- Look for trends, relationships, and opportunities that can guide business actions.
- Check data for consistency and accuracy throughout reporting workflows.
- Work closely with teams across the business to understand their reporting goals and information needs.
- Help define metrics, KPIs, and regular performance reporting.
- Assist with validating data, cleaning datasets, and maintaining documentation.
- Share conclusions and suggestions in a clear, practical way for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Comfort working with SQL and spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Exposure to visualization platforms like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is beneficial.
- Basic familiarity with Python, R, or similar analytical tools is an added advantage.
- Strong reasoning skills with a structured approach to problem-solving.
- High accuracy and careful attention to detail when handling data.
- Ability to explain insights clearly to people with different levels of technical knowledge.
