Data Analyst

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team on a contract basis at our Plano, TX location. The role involves developing and maintaining advanced analytic reports by simplifying complex issues, analyzing data trends, and identifying growth opportunities. The candidate will collaborate closely with management and users to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights to drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and sustain cutting-edge analytic reports by translating complex challenges into straightforward frameworks.
• Analyze multifaceted datasets to discover trends and identify avenues for business growth.
• Develop reports employing best practices based on thorough data mining, analysis, and visualization.
• Assess internal systems for performance, pinpoint inaccuracies, and create protocols for data handling, processing, and cleaning.
• Work directly with management and stakeholders to collect requirements, provide progress updates, and build strong relationships.
• Proactively explore data to answer critical questions from stakeholders or self-initiated inquiries, focusing on factors influencing business performance and suggesting enhancements for efficiency and productivity.
• Create and manage interactive visualizations utilizing interpreted data and integrating multiple data source components.

Qualifications and Skills

• Master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a closely related discipline.
• 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in data mining and analysis roles such as Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
• Demonstrated expertise in data mining, evaluation, comprehensive analysis, and visualization techniques.
• Experience in technical writing, including preparing queries, reports, and presentations.
• Proficiency in Google BigQuery, SQL, and Excel with the capability to quickly learn additional analytic technologies.
• At least 5 years of experience with reporting tools like Tableau.
• Strong technical knowledge of data modeling, database design, data mining, and segmentation strategies.
• Experience working with transactional data sets.
• Previous involvement in ecommerce analytics or similar business functions heavily focused on data analysis.
• Expertise in creating executive-level PowerPoint presentations.

Compensation Details

The hourly wage for this role is fixed at $76.00 per hour. Non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime pay at 1.5 times the hourly rate for hours worked above 40 per week or as mandated by law. Final compensation will consider skills, education, and relevant experience.
