Overview
Anicare Veterinary Group in Glasnevin, Dublin is seeking a customer-oriented and well-organized Customer Care Receptionist for their small animal practice. Operating full-time at 40 hours per week, the practice has recently undergone a complete renovation to provide a modern setting for exceptional client and patient care.
Role Details
Serving as the primary point of contact for clients and their pets, this role is crucial in delivering a welcoming and professional atmosphere. The position involves diverse tasks including reception management, appointment scheduling through the Merlin practice management system, telephone and email correspondence, payment processing including end-of-day cash handling, stock maintenance, assisting with deliveries, and general administrative duties. Developing thorough product knowledge to assist client inquiries confidently is an important component.
Team and Environment
The role is part of a supportive team that includes three veterinary surgeons, three to four veterinary nurses, and another receptionist who also handles insurance claims and accounts. The group emphasizes teamwork, respect, kindness, and outstanding animal care.
Schedule
The working hours are Monday to Friday with minimal weekend involvement. Shifts are either from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including a one-hour lunch break. There are no out-of-hours commitments.
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants should possess prior experience in reception or customer service. Experience with veterinary practices or animals is advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, computer proficiency, attention to detail, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and a passion for top-tier customer service.
