Role Overview
We are seeking a Creative Director who thrives on pushing boundaries rather than following safe, traditional routes. This role involves much more than team management; you will be the visionary translating complex briefs into culturally influential and business-driven ideas. You will champion originality, guide the creative tone of the agency, and mentor your team to embrace and express innovative concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and nurture a team of designers, fostering a supportive environment that encourages bold idea-sharing.
- Build a studio culture where constructive critique enhances work quality without diminishing individual confidence.
- Organize workload efficiently to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Develop and uphold the creative vision by transforming client objectives and brand guidelines into unique concepts with clear perspectives.
- Define and defend the visual and verbal style across all creative outputs.
- Provide insightful feedback that refines ideas without dulling their originality.
- Serve as the primary client contact, trusted to offer solutions throughout the creative process, not just during briefings.
- Lead client presentations and pitches that encourage interactive dialogue instead of performance.
- Manage timelines, budgets, and expectations transparently while maintaining the integrity and ambition of the work.
- Collaborate closely with media teams to ensure creative concepts are effectively realized and integrated into media strategies.
- Engage cross-departmental teams early in the process to ensure alignment and cohesive execution amidst shifting briefs.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of eight years’ experience in a creative leadership role within agency or brand marketing environments.
- A compelling portfolio showcasing innovative ideas that inspire.
- Ability to persuasively present big ideas to clients and oversee their successful implementation.
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and a solid understanding of copywriting principles, even if writing is not the primary focus.
- Interest and openness to integrating Generative AI as a creative augmentation tool rather than a replacement.
- Degree or equivalent experience in design, advertising, marketing, or related disciplines.
- Resilience under pressure combined with a good sense of humor to handle tight deadlines.
