Key duties

• Operate the GCA scanner for all required activities during the route, including scanning waybills and barcoded labels.
• Complete deliveries for all assigned freight in the route area while following customer and company requirements.
• Collect all scheduled customer pick-ups according to DHL and customer guidelines.
• Confirm that customers have a valid account before carrying out a delivery or pick-up.
• Prepare and submit accurate route documentation every day.
• Report route exceptions and notable competitor activity to DHL.
• Handle heavyweight deliveries, either personally or by arranging a third-party provider when needed to meet service standards.
• Maintain strong internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Represent DHL professionally at all times, including vehicle, uniform, and shipment documentation presentation.
• Help improve customer perception and satisfaction with service quality.
• Ensure shipments are picked up and delivered on time.
• Work effectively with customer service and operations colleagues.
• Inform the Sales team about potential business opportunities or service risks.
• Carry out other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage several tasks at once.
• Ability to perform well under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• High school education.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence held for more than 18 months, with a clean driving record.
• Current driver’s abstract with no infractions.
• Capability to lift up to 70 lbs without assistance.
