About the role

Labcorp is a worldwide provider of diagnostic testing and drug development services, supporting healthcare professionals, researchers, and patients in making informed choices that improve care outcomes. The company is hiring a Courier for its Dothan, Alabama location.

Work schedule

This position follows a Wednesday through Sunday schedule, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

What you will do

• Prepare and load the supplies needed for daily pickup routes.
• Complete scheduled pickups within the required time window.
• Return completed pickups to the branch at the end of the shift.
• Transport specimens and laboratory samples carefully and efficiently.
• Drive a company vehicle safely and follow all traffic regulations.
• Use a handheld electronic device to track and manage pickups.
• Coordinate with the dispatcher for additional pickups when required.
• Assess traffic flow, alternate routes, and weather conditions to stay on schedule.

Minimum qualifications

No formal education or prior experience is required for this role.

Preferred background

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience as a driver or courier.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.

Additional requirements

• Strong punctuality and time-management habits.
• Good attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Ability to resolve customer-related issues effectively.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Applicant must be at least 21 years old.

Compensation and vehicle details

A company vehicle is provided for route work. Employees may choose to take the vehicle home and use it personally for an additional cost of $125 per month.

Benefits

Employees regularly scheduled for 20 or more hours per week are eligible for medical, dental, vision, life, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k), paid time off or flexible time off, tuition reimbursement, and an employee stock purchase plan. Employees working less than 20 hours per week, as well as casual, intern, and temporary employees, are eligible only for the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all listed benefits except PTO or FTO.
