Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Precast Concrete Division based out of our state-of-the-art Brownstown facility in County Kildare. The role involves coordinating all project disciplines collaboratively with Site and Production Managers across various sites, managing the prompt delivery of superior-quality materials and services.
This multifaceted role includes remote oversight of operational teams, executing contract negotiations, and strategically managing projects to fulfill overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in defining construction methodology and scheduling during tender stages.
- Source and organize site crews for full frame installation.
- Plan and oversee erection programmes efficiently.
- Manage site crews throughout projects and ensure subcontractor compliance.
- Collaborate with Production Manager to achieve site commitments.
- Maintain high standards for erection of Kilsaran products with strict quality control adherence.
- Coordinate with clients and contractors to meet site objectives and timelines.
- Participate in contractor meetings addressing programmes, benchmarking, finishes, and snag lists.
- Oversee project completion, including final handover processes.
- Work closely with Health and Safety Team to implement H&S manuals specific to site operations, covering lift plans, safe systems of work, best practices, and risk assessments (RAMS).
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a recognised third-level qualification in Construction-related fields such as Civil Engineering or Construction Management; Level 8 qualification preferred.
- Membership in appropriate professional body/bodies is required.
- Proven extensive experience interfacing with customers, capable of nurturing positive relationships with a commercial mindset.
- Strong working knowledge of various construction contract types.
Skills and Competencies
- Capable of leading teams of skilled subcontractors while motivating and collaborating with internal and external service providers.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial management, budget control, as well as identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation.
- Advanced proficiency in IT and report creation; fully skilled in MS Office including MS Project and familiar with Business Information Systems.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to present confidently and effectively at all corporate levels.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and standards.
